The University of Lyon - UDL offers a portal called the Student welcome desk - SWD. This portal is dedicated to international students, welcome, health, etc. It also provides a very active and competent service to help with administrative formalities, in liaison with the prefecture.

The UDL also offers a portal dedicated to the health of international students. It brings together all the health-related procedures to be carried out for an international student following their university course in France (health insurance, etc.).

Écoute Étudiants Lyon
This service is confidential, non-judgmental, anonymous and free. In addition to existing services and thanks to the support of the Metropolis of Lyon, the ARHM Foundation offers free listening and psychological support specifically for international students from institutions in the Metropolis of Lyon:
- Professional bilingual psychologists available to receive students in different languages: English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Greek, Romanian, French and others depending on the situation.
- Presential and/or distance support, at the student's choice
- Time-limited support, with a flexible number of appointments. The diversity of situations requires adaptation and flexibility in the support offered, while remaining limited in time.
- If necessary, and depending on the assessment of situations, referral and support to a specialized common law system can be offered.

CROUS: grants and financial aid
In order to finance their studies in France, international students can also claim specific aid that can be cumulated with housing grants and benefits linked to student status. For this purpose, and subject to certain conditions, it is possible to benefit from a grant or financial aid set up by the CROUS.
