Program
Training structure
Teaching is organized on a semester-by-semester basis. Semesters 7 to 10 at ENSAL correspond to semesters 1 to 4 of the master's degree at Université Lumière Lyon 2. The pathway courses are taught by the GeoArchitecture by design master's field of study team.
During the first 3 semesters, students follow the common core courses (compulsory disciplinary courses and optional thematic courses); while following the Territoires fluviaux en projet - TFP pathway courses (project workshops, introductory research seminars, intensive internships and studiolabs for M2).
In the second semester of M2, students focus on preparing their final project and introductory research dissertation in the GeoArch studiolab. At the same time, they complete a four-month full-time equivalent work placement, comprising two months in a project management structure and two months in a structure dealing with urban projects or studies.
Schedule
Students admitted to follow the dual architecture and urban planning curriculum can take advantage of timetable arrangements and thus be totally or partially exempt from attendance.
They must enroll in specific teaching units of the "GeoArchitecture by design" master's field of study during the two years of the master's program.
Validation
In the event of withdrawal and if courses are not validated in the program, courses that have been exempted at ENSAL must be obtained.
If the courses are validated in the VEU mention, the courses exempted at ENSAL will be validated for the corresponding semester. ECTS obtained in the VEU specialization remain acquired. The student will have to make up the lessons for which he/she had obtained an exemption at ENSAL to obtain 120 ECTS.
Students enrolled in a double curriculum are not authorized to apply for international mobility.
